Topic: FCC illegal taxation
Tax: 20%
Amount collected: over $32 billion dollars / Annually
Paid by: all internet users
Related tax: Boston Tea Tax

The FCC's taxation of the Internet violates the Internet Tax Freedom Act, a 1998 law that bans the government from taxing Internet access in any way, shape, or form. They have long argued that Universal Service is a fee that the providers pass on to consumers and not a tax. Like we are all too stupid to know a tax when we pay it!

The illegal action taken by bureaucrats of the FCC included an overhaul of a $4.5 billion portion of the Universal Service Fund and converted it into a broadband Internet subsidy, called the Connect America Fund. They are subsidizing the construction of high-speed Internet networks to the estimated 19 million Americans who currently lack access, as of 2010.

At&t, Google, and Sprint supported this illegal Internet tax! Congress refuses to stop this illegal activity of the FCC! They must be getting a cut! By law, the FCC ONLY regulates telecommunications, not the Internet! They are obviously a criminal organization that needs a full investigation into their practices! These criminals that run the FCC asserted authority and power that they never had and were never given in the communications act! The Internet is NOT a telecommunications device of any sort.

In 2018 the FCC tried to enact another illegal tax by taxing businesses the live on the Internet! They tried to tell us it was only for businesses that require Internet access to operate. Interest in the business on the Internet requires Internet access, and so that means they want to tax every business with an Internet presence. They are already collecting $32,000,000,000 a year illegally; for what reason do they need more illegal tax money.

PEW Research center discovered that 10% of Americans don't use the Internet. Of that 10%, there were 34% who had no interest, 32% found it too difficult, and 19% stated it was too expensive. So the FCC does not need to provide any more broadband service as that ten percent does not want it. So what do they need $32 billion a year for?

This only leaves the 10 percent of rural people who don't have broadband service, and they don’t have it because they are too busy to waste time on the Internet! They are farmers and ranchers for the most part and so they are too busy running their farms and ranches to spend time browsing the Internet with broadband Internet. Dialup still works fine for them. So what does the FCC need $32,000,000,000 a year for?

So we come to the biggest question of all. What is the FCC doing with $32 billion a year? They're not spending it on broadband Internet because it already exists everywhere it is needed. And we're still stuck with the same two scumbag companies that provide internet service and are ripping us off. Satellite is not priced reasonable except for remote people with no other option. With taxes like this, how is it possible that the Federal government's is so deep in debt? One can only assume that it is going into their pockets!

With 32 billion dollars a year, a whole new internet access system could have been wired from coast to coast; with optical cable!!!
