Americans better sit up and take notice that their country is being bought out by foreign investors! At this time, foreigners own over 30,000,000 acres of farmland in America out of the 900 million we have. This means they can take that food out of our country! And we could have a food shortage! Or they can push prices up, of agricultural products, and thus disrupting and even damaging our economy. This is a very dangerous situation! The Federal government has failed to protect America.
In 2016 foreigners owned over $32 trillion, in American assets! Seventy percent of it was European Investors, with Asia in second place with about 20% of those assets. It turns out that farmland is very stable and consistently makes a certain amount of profit. It is unaffected by economic turns as people eat no matter what. Additionally the population continues to grow and food sources are not, so farm land makes a good investment. You can always lease it to a neighboring farmer.
Some of this farmland is being converted into other uses and our amount of farmland has fallen almost 40 million acres in the last decade! This means 40 million acres of food every year has disappeared from America! Additionally that land may never belong to an American again!!! It also must be pointed out the money and profits made from this land will leave the community and our country. In a way it is laundering money out of our country!
Out of the 140,000,000 housing units in America, 43,000,000 are rentals. Foreign investors have bought up over 300,000 houses in the U.S. They are responsible for the high rent increases! In this case they are lobbying all the rent income, less property taxes, out of America!
Another issue with foreigners buying up American Land is foreigners mining minerals from our public lands and not paying a penny for it! They are mining our minerals and uranium under an 1872 law that allows them to take all of it and not pay a penny in royalties or taxes. They are taking these minerals out of our country and taking them to their country. The United States Senate has completely failed to protect our resources which are dwindling at an incredible rate! It is a complete outrage that they have allowed foreigners to do this!
Additionally they can mine and contaminate our water without any consequences to them. At this point in time there are over 500,000 abandoned mines on public land which pose environmental threats. Our Senators are not doing their job and have committed treason in my opinion, by not protecting America! They have refused to update its old law! Again foreigners are laundering money and resources out of our country!
Foreigners own many businesses in America and they even own major toll roads in America! They own over 30% of our port terminals according to the New York Times! Companies such as Gerber, 7-Eleven, Good Humor, Budweiser, Holiday Inn, and Frigidaire, to name a few, are owned by foreigners. Foreigners are laundering huge amounts of money of our country and it is definitely hurting our economy!
If you can believe this, foreigners control 35% of Wall Street S & P stocks! In dollars it's about 8.1 trillion in stock value! Talk about foreigners laundering money out of our country, this one is huge. I should also include the information that many of these foreigners are getting PPP loans for their investments. This is so wrong! They should not be allowed to take out loans with low interest rates that are reserved for poor Americans!
